My name is Kevin Murdoch. Thank you for taking time to look at the ministry the Lord has given me. But first, some family background…

When I was about 10 years old, I made a profession of faith during a summer VBS outreach in my neighborhood. Praise the Lord for ministries that desire to reach children! About four years later, I met my future wife, Laura. We were literally thrown together during our freshman English class when she was selected to read Juliet, and I was selected to read Romeo for a class assignment. The rest is history. Laura and I became sweethearts in the 11th grade and married 3 ½ years later.

About a year after Laura and I were married, I joined the United States Air Force and served for 9 ½ years. I loved my career and planned to make the military my life, but God had other plans. During those years, I drifted from God, lived for myself, and started down a path toward destruction. Thankfully, Laura had been praying for God to get a hold of my heart and turn me around. In November 1994, the Lord got my attention after a deployment to Africa. In my Air Force barracks, I got on my knees and with repentant tears turned from my sins and turned to Christ once and for all – never to return to my old life. After getting right with the Lord, I immediately perceived God wanted me to get out of the Air Force and serve Him full-time.

After I earned my Bible College degree, my family of seven set out to plant a church. I pastored that church for 6 years and the Lord taught me many things about ministry. A few years into that church plant, another preacher came to town and started a church down the road and soon after that, the Lord laid on my heart to merge the two churches. God blessed that merge and it is still going today. That church planter and I worked together for a year and a half and 4 new churches were launched. After that, my colleague started another church and our family started serving in two fledgling Bible studies about 45 minutes from our sending church in Española, New Mexico. We were grateful to see fruit from these two areas.

In the spring of 2015, the Lord began to work in my heart about doing something on a global scale. The first Scripture God used is in Matthew 20 – the parable of the 11th hour. Among other lessons from this passage, one thing became clear: our time is almost up. So reaching the world with the Gospel must become my priority.

But how can one person reach billions of people with the Gospel? A missionary challenged me with a thought from Hebrews 11:6. He said faith pleases God, but faith also means doing something I could not possibly do myself. In addition to these scriptures, passages pertaining to the Judgment Seat of Christ and the millennial reign of Christ became powerful motivators for me to take my personal responsibility to fulfill the Great Commission seriously.

So determined to ask God for the impossibe, I prayed and sought the advice of my pastor and other preachers about the best way to reach the world. The answer is duplication and multiplication. Let me explain.

Perhaps the most powerful Scripture the Lord used to seal all of these new desires in my heart is the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. God has given me a “talent” – a responsibility to teach and show God’s people how to share the Gospel Biblically and effectively. When believers are trained to share the Gospel and are able to train others to share the Gospel, the ability to reach the world is possible. That’s how we know about the grace of God today. People were trained how to share Christ, who then trained others, who would then reach and train others.

So based on the evangelism principles I had learned, I taught a 9-session “seminar” in our home church. My pastor was so impacted by it, he commissioned me to produce study guides and other materials to train God’s people elsewhere. Our first international trip was Haiti. While there, souls were saved and believers were greatly inspired to share their faith in Christ with others. Since then, the opportunities to evangelize and train believers around the world has grown to five continents.

Jesus said in Matthew 9:37 that the potential to reap in the great harvest field of souls is truly great! Are you interested in reaching your world?
